01. Digital Painting.
Here we will cover student’s choice of portrait or landscape digital painting. We will go over the student’s selected software so they understand everything they would need to know to start painting. We will then learn the steps to transform a blank canvas into a piece of art.
02. Character Design.
In the character design class the student will learn the basic forms of the human body and the major muscles that they are comprised of. We will then learn how to turn them into cartoons.
03. Basics of 3d.
Here we will give an introductory course on Blender 3D. Blender is a free software that will allow the student to make 3D assets for games, movies, or animations. What is learned here are the building blocks for creating video games, computer graphics, animations like Pixar, and the film industry.

My name is Nick Burgess the CEO of Ember Empire. I have a Bachelors of Science in Media Arts and Animation, and I have been making digital art for over 15 years. I truly believe it is one of the greatest art forms humanity has ever encountered. It is filled with the principles and disciplines of traditional art but has a capacity that is far greater and is expanding every day. I have had the privilege of creating a diverse portfolio of professional work over the years including PlayStation 4 Themes and Avatars, Game Development, Character Design, Logo Design, Storyboards, Animations, Album Covers, Concept Art, and 3D Productions. My hope is to teach everything that I know allowing my students to have no restrictions when it comes to their art.
What is digital Art?
how does this work?
Digital Art simply put is art that is created on a computer, through various types of software. We can draw, paint, sculpt, do 3D modeling and much more. Typically we use a mouse and keyboard or a stylus and tablet to interact with the software. We used to need a super powerful computer and buy super expensive software in order to create digital art. But now most computers can handle making digital art, and there are open source software (free software) for pretty much any digital art you would want to create.
